If it resets close to 12:00 (or 00:00), concider there may be some random high frequency noise entering into the 50/60 Hz input on startup, causing it to rapidly advance from 12:00.(Is this after you plug it in?) Try bypassing the 50/60Hz input with a simple RC filter. Contributed by Paul Grohe.
